Monte Spanier
Philosophy
Many of us take for granted all of the natural beauty
that's around us everywhere we are, everything we see,
everyday of our lives. I strive to capture something unique
about these common surroundings with a perspective that
is equally as original. This is my way of helping draw
attention to these naturally occurring sights so that
others can appreciate them as well.
For
me, photography is relaxing as well as inspiring. I am
often awestruck by a landscape, sunset, or just the innocent
beauty of a small child's bright eyes. These amazing treats
for our eyes are often overlooked in this busy society
that we now live in. Also, the creative process of photography
inspires the fine artist in me and vice-versa.
Style
Fine art, landscapes and wildlife, portraits - color and
black/white
Technique
Works with digital (Olympus) and 35 mm film (Pentax)
Processed images produced with Adobe Photoshop
Digital photographs are usually produced using a professional
color lab where the digital image is used in an emulsifying
process to create an actual photo such as you would receive
from film developing. This creates a print that is equal
in longevity and color richness to a 35mm print.
